It's Still You, written by Raven Petretti-Stamper, is a classic tale: Boy meets girl, girl falls for boy, boy and girl go from bliss to break-up and, six years later, run into each other again. But boy is married, and boy has kids…and boy are they in trouble, because boy still likes girl (and girl likes him, too).

A one-act from It's Still You is being produced in Rebound Productions Emerging Artists Festival in London in July.

Paige Taylor is a strong, self-made woman whose thriving business doesn’t leave her much time for a personal life. With no new love on the horizon, memories of the good days with her ex, Darren, bubble up, but one text or email quickly snaps her back to the task at hand and puts him in the back of her mind…until she accidentally bumps into him in Central Park and her whole life turns upside down. What should have been a quick, awkward exchange turns into a rehashing of their break up and the surprise confession that they both still have feelings for one another. But it’s not that easy: he’s married, unhappily, and has kids, and her life doesn’t have room for extra complications. They should walk away, but instead we watch as the challenges of reconnecting humorously unfold—even the wife gets in on the action—and we ride along as Paige struggles down the road less traveled. Was her memory of him better than reality? Is this a rebound or really true love? And does love conquer all, after all? Those questions and more are answered in this atypical romantic comedy that toys with the age-old question, “What if…?”

Hannah’s been riding out the pandemic in her small New York apartment with her husband and rambunctious puppy dog Leo – an adventure which inspired her mockumentary web series, Love in the Time of Corona: A Comedy (now available on Roku) Pre-pandemic, Hannah appeared in multiple award-winning films and noteworthy theater productions including an Off-Broadway production of Danny and The Deep Blue Sea directed by Helen Hayes nominated Peter Allas, and Masha in the US premiere of Lucy Caldwell’s Irish adaptation of Three Sisters directed by Christopher McCann. Most recently, Hannah starred in a new short film by Jean Passanante and appeared in a zoom production of a new play by Rich Orloff. Classically trained, Jessica has played roles from Shakespeare to Caryl Churchill. Her NY theater debut was in IRT’s 3B Development Series of The Trade Federation. LA Theater credits include Flower Duet (Road Theater Co.), Mad Forest (Open Fist), Early & Often (Open Fist), Room Service (Open Fist). TV/Film Credits: Law & Order: SVU, Billions (opposite Paul Giamatti and Maggie Siff), New Amsterdam, the feature film Midnighters (from the director of The Walking Dead), and Letters from the Big Man (with Lily Rabe, 2011 Official Sundance Selection). She has also starred in several National Commercials. She has a BA from UCLA’s Theater, Film & Television. Jessica is currently in development on her first feature film, in collaboration with her producing partner. She took up watercolor during Quarantine and now watercolors your pet and gives the proceeds to charity!

Raven Petretti-Stamper has produced many love themed plays, which she has written, through her production company, Strange Bird Productions. Full length plays include 2020: A Fantasy (Theatre 54 | Shetler Studios, 2019) and It's Still You. Her one-act plays have been presented through various festivals at Just Write! Lakeland (FL), Theater Workshop of Owensboro (KY), Alleyway Theatre, Tiger Heart Players, Manhattan Repertory Theatre, Shetler Studios, Looking Glass Theatre (NYC) and Wellesley College's Upstage (MA). Her short plays have been published in Smith & Krauss’ Best Women’s Monologues of 2021 anthology, Laughter is the Best Medicine: Forty-Five 5 Minute Plays in the Time of Coronavirus and the Little Red Theatre Company’s Tiny Plays from the Quarantine collection. An avid student, she has studied at the School of Early Departures (NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and American Academy of Dramatic Arts as an Acting Major) and obtained her MFA from the School of Life where she is now studying for her doctorate. She resides in the sixth borough of New York, Jersey City, NJ, with a hubby who occasionally gets tired of reading her drafts and her rambunctious cats who inspire characters in said drafts. She was selected for the Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive in 2021 and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
